Abhay Deol on violence in relationship

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Abhay recalls faving violence in his relationship. He stated,  “I don’t believe in violence. I have had a lot of drama in some of my past relationships. They have turned violent as well, emotional mainly. And that’s not good, not for my partner and not good for me. Not pointing fingers at anyone, it’s a learning curve.”

He also spoke about being in a relationship with narcissist. The actor said, “In retrospect, you see that was kind of very unemotional and scheming. I have had some great relationships, some really miserable ones. I’ve had partners where I have had great support, I have been the wrong one.”

In the same interview, Abhay shared his thoughts on marriage as well and said that he does not see it as a “natural phenomenon.” He said, “In nature, you love, you don’t love, no one is judging you for having more than one partner, or you can partner up and stay with that partner for life, you can end up single and finding your own self because you are able to be by yourself and know who you are.” The actor concluded by saying, “I’d rather be single and lonely than coupled up and miserable.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhay Deol will soon be seen in Bun Tikki with Zeenat Aman.
